Exciting News... My Art Was Stolen
Well, it finally happened.
One of those milestones artists never actually hope to reach: my artwork was stolen.
Recently, I discovered that images of my paintings were being sold as "originals" on a questionable website based in Jamaica. While I can't say I was thrilled about it, the experience certainly came with a mix of emotions. Frustration, disbelief, anger, and maybe a tiny bit of validation that someone thought my work was worth stealing in the first place.
Over the years, I've been very careful about where I sell and share my artwork. I work only with reputable platforms such as Saatchi Art, Artfinder, and my own website.
My first step was to contact the website and then their hosting provider, hoping to have the stolen images removed. Unfortunately, my messages went unanswered.
After a lot of thought, I decided to turn this experience into something positive.
I'm excited to announce that many of my fine art pieces are now available as prints and specialty products through my shop at Paint & Sip Portland.
This collection will feature artwork from my Enchanted Bird Series, including fine art prints, puzzles, and a selection of other carefully chosen products. This will allow art lovers and collectors to enjoy my work in new ways while supporting the original artist behind it.
So while having my artwork stolen wasn't exactly the news I wanted to share, it did inspire me to make my art more accessible than ever before.
If you've been interested in collecting one of my pieces, now is the perfect opportunity.
